Dog N Pony party
Saturday, May 30, 8pm – 1 am
”Pets on Parade” at 9:30
SF Citadel
1277 Mission St at Ninth St
$25
The party provides stables, lunging, and grazing areas for ponies and large animals, plus cages, romp, and training areas for dogs and small animals. And plenty of laps and scritches for kitties and lap pets. There are nooks for bunnies and shy critters. There are also social areas and large bdsm play spaces with dozens of stations.
Those new to pet play will have a chance to try it (if they like), under the guidance of experienced players. This includes both new handlers and new animals. Experienced players will have an opportunity to discuss their experiences, and demo their style. It’s also a good chance to find new partners.
About 9:30 on Saturday we’ll begin our “Pets on Parade” segment. This allows anyone to show off their identity, tack, or style. It can be a routine or just a walk through. Preparatory coaching is available both Friday and Saturday.
All events are anyone 18 and over. All genders and orientations. RSVP not required. SFCitadel membership ($10/year, available at the door) required for the Saturday night party - one member may bring in up to three guests. No photography or recording devices.
Costumes admired, but not required. We suggest everyone wear something special (animal, trainer, fur, fetish, sexy, leather, evening wear, club wear, all black, etc), rather than plain street clothes.
To be clear: 1) This is a participatory experience, rather than a staged theatrical performance. 2) Everyone involved is an amateur, though many are quite dedicated and skilled. 3) This is about humans role playing with other humans, there are no non-human animals involved.
If you've never been to a party in a dungeon before, we have some notes that tell you what to expect and how to behave. Although at Dog N Pony there's more romping, petting, sniffing, and prancing.
Volunteer slots and work exchange available. See DogNPony.org/volunteers
